I had to have a biopsy yesterday for suspected melanoma on my leg

Hi i am a breast cancer survivor of 4 years. I switched off when going through my breast cancer treatment and just got on with it as if it wasn't happening to me, i managed the hairloss etc with various wigs...however I had to have a biopsy yesterday for suspected melanoma on my leg, .

I feel I have not been coping very well with moving on and now this potential skin cancer has came along, I am just panicking.  Has anyone else been diagnosed with another cancer in first 4 years since their diagnosis.  Xx

  • Hi Ang,

Sorry to hear you are going through this.

Not quite the same but I had DCIS (had surgery and radiotherapy no chemo) in 2022 and sm having 2 moles/lesions excised for biopsy on Thursday 20th.

Wishing you all the best for a positive outcome.

Have they said how long until you get biopsy results? Waiting is the worst!

    Sending hugs x
