I am happy to join this group.  

My husband survived bowel cancer 13 years ago only to be diagnosed with prostate cancer 2 years ago.  It is contained at the moment but he is coming off the hormone treatment at his request - makes him so exhausted - which he"s been on for 2 years.  If his psa level goes up to 2 he will have to go back on the hormone injections for life.  Other option is to come off everything (14 tablets a day) and let the cancer takes its course........  (his prostate can"t be removed because its in an awkward position).  All about his quality of life i guess.  Bit of a waiting game !

Thought  i was coping ok - then few days ago our only child rang to tell us he"s been diagnosed with bowel cancer!  Hes got his age on his side - 36 and think its been caught early. Hes got to have, chemo, radiotherapy and surgery.  Hes been told its definitely curable.

Would love to interact with anyone in a similar position or anyone whose going "through it" at the moment.
