You did the right thing in flagging this abnormal bleeding 2 years ago when they first found this polyp. It's normal to be anxious as you are waiting for this emergency referral so that it can now be removed. You will feel better once it has all been done and you get confirmation that it is only a benign polyp. The hardest thing really for you at the moment is the anxious wait for answers, the not knowing as you are waiting to find out more. If you can, try and stay away from the temptation to look anything up online as this will only make you feel more worried without giving any reliable answers.
