Standard treatments haven't worked, Advanced, recurrent Serous Ovarian cancer.

I am waiting for a referral to Cambrdge after last CT scan and my symptoms show tumours have cotinued to grow sadly. I've had 2 major debulking surgeries and several chemo treatments. Still quite active though energy levels are quite low,, I'm  classed as complex due to having several other health issues such as Fibromyalgia, diabetes2, COPD, OA....

I live with my dogs, alone since my long-term partner moved in with his elderly father after his wife died in 2019. My severe ADHD son moved out in January this year. I like living alone I don't feel lonely. I see partner everyday he's as supportive as he can be, given he works full time.

I wonder how other ppl cope, I'm wondering how things will get as my health possibly deteriorates. I am a positive person not much bothers me at age 64. .

  • Welcome to our forum, Eligus and thank you for sharing so openly about your situation.

It sounds like you’ve been through a lot with your ovarian cancer and other health conditions, and it’s completely understandable that you have questions and worries about what might come next.

It’s good to hear that you’re still able to stay active and enjoy life with your dogs, and that you have support from your partner, even if it’s not every moment.

I hope that others who have been through similar experiences will join in to share how they cope day to day. Sometimes just reading how people manage or hearing their tips can make things feel a little less overwhelming.

You sound very resilient, and it’s okay to take each day as it comes. We’re always here if you want to share or talk.

    Warm wishes,
