I have been living with cancer of the oesophagus and bone cancer

Hello all I have been living with cancer of the oesophagus and bone cancer for over a year which my consultant said I had left to live. So beating the 8 to 12 months to live diagnosis was the first hurdle. I even saw my GP yesterday and he said that he didn’t expect me to still be alive. I have had chemotherapy and radiotherapy and will be having more in the coming months. I have a wonderful wife who has given up work to look after me, but I do try and keep doing things like the washing up and vacuuming. But the most important thing is to remain positive throughout and don’t be afraid to talk about it friends and family will try and not say that C word or even say anything about death but if they have a question about it doesn’t matter what then ask me yes I have a terminal illness and I will die but don’t be afraid to talk about it.
