Hi I'm Karen, I'm 72 and for the past 30 years I've was a nurse, l retired 8 years ago and was hoping to have a peaceful happy retirement.

But 4 years after l was diagnosed with breast cancer, l had surgery and radiotherapy which worked for a few years, but in 2023 it came back with a vengeance and my consultant told me it was aggressive and inoperable. I live from day to day chemo to chemo and trust in my faith in God to get me through this, l stay positive and still have my dreams. I am lucky because l have a loving supportive family whom.l appreciate dearly, I'm thankful for every day l live and breathe.

Welcome to the forum. Cancer has a very good knack of making a return when least expected. I am so upset for you that the cancer is back but at the same time pleased see that your inner strength and faith and love from your family are keeping you able to appreciate each new day. Ive had 10 years remission but now on palliative immunotherapy I have a good life and enjoy each day. There is a lot of suppoty on this forum if you need it.
