Just had the diagnosis. Going to speak to the oncology team regarding treatment for breast cancer. Apparently it's the size of a little fingernail. Just wondering what questions to ask? Going to involve surgery and radiotherapy apparently

  • Hello Samakazi and welcome to Cancer Chat,

It can be hard to fully digest meetings like these, so I think a good place to start is to try and take in as much of the information discussed as possible. It might help to take a notepad and pen with you to make notes. As the discussion progresses, I'm sure any questions will come naturally. We also have guidance on breast cancer that includes treatment and coping with the next steps. You can refer to these pages at anytime and I hope your appointment with the oncology team goes ok.

    Keep us updated!

  • Oncology have been amazing. The experience has been so much easier due to the fact the team I'm dealing with are wonderful. Now I know what my options are going forward and I'm being put forward for gene testing too.
