Lyndy - stage 4 endometrial cancer

Hi

I have stage 4 endometrial cancer, I have no womb so it’s quite rare. I finished chemo two weeks ago and I’m waiting to find out when my radiotherapy starts. I’m continuing with immunotherapy.

i have no treatment for 3 weeks I feel in limbo and pretty low, but I should feel relieved surely. There has been no contact from my team, it’s a weird feeling.

i also will need an operation after radiotherapy but have no idea of a timeline. Everyone seems to be getting on with their lives but I feel stuck am I alone in this?

  • I'm sorry you're feeling a bit alone and out of sorts whilst waiting to find out when your radiotherapy will begin Lyndy.

I really hope you hear something from your team soon, but if not, maybe you could reach out to them and try to get an update on your situation. If you don't feel comfortable doing that, maybe you could see if your GP could chase this up for you instead.

Our members know how difficult this time of limbo and waiting can be so I hope you receive some support and advice from them soon, but in the meantime you can always give our cancer nurses a call if you'd like to talk any of this through. They're available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m and they will do all they can to help.

We're sending you all our strength and support Lyndy and wishing you all the best with the rest of your treatment.

    Kind regards,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
