Husband was told he has Appendix cancer. It's been removed but further tests needed. I don't know how to process this

Hi today my husband was told his appendix he had removed recently was cancerous. They seem hopeful they removed it all but he has to have further tests and possible treatment.

i don’t really know what to expect or how to process this.

  • Welcome to the forum Leah49 although I'm sorry to hear your husband was recently diagnosed with appendix cancer.

This must be a very difficult time for you both, even more so as you await further tests to see if the cancer has spread, but I'm glad you've reached out to us Leah49 as our community is filled with members who will know what you and your husband are going through at the moment, so you are not alone, and hopefully some of them will be along soon to offer their support and advice.

If it would help to talk things through with someone you can give our team of cancer nurses a call on 0808 800 4040. They're phone lines are open Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m and they will do all they can to support you and answer any other questions you may have at this time.

We're sending you all our support Leah and we'll have our fingers crossed that the cancer has all been successfully removed.

    Kind regards,
