I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis and that you're having some concerns about the next steps in the recommended treatment plan. It's understandable that you feel you don't want to undergo any treatment that's not necessary or may cause you further issues in the future. 

Have you spoken with your team about the concerns that you have? If not, then I'd really encourage you to try and have an open dialogue with them about the reasons and evidence to support the pathway that they are recommending to you. It may be that they're able to offer you some information and reassurance that will help you make the right decision for you. 

If it would help to talk things through with one of our nurses before you talk with the specialist, then you're welcome to call them. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any advice, information and support they can. They're available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm on 0808 800 4040.
