Currently having radiotherapy for tonsil cancer. Would like to chat to others in a similar situation

Hi am 4 weeks into a 6 week radiotherapy course am feeling very weak my taste buds have virtually disappeared the treatment and support is second to none but my cancer centre is extremely busy and I would like to chat with people in a similar situation ie tonsil cancer also about emotional and mental distress.

Hello Ytee and welcome to Cancer Chat.

I'm sorry to hear about the side effects you're currently contending with. This must be very tough but our members are here for you Ytee and hopefully those who have had tonsil cancer and/or radiotherapy will be along soon to share their experiences and advice.

I hope this information we have about managing fatigue and tips for dealing with changes in taste will be useful but for further information and advice, you can give our team of cancer nurses a call on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m. They're very easy to talk to and will do all they can to help.

We're sending you all our support Ytee and wishing you all the best with the last two weeks of your radiotherapy.
