I am recovering from throat cancer, I was diagnosed on the 20th September last year, I was looking forward but because it’s the month my journey began it’s bringing back memories and emotions.
I'm so pleased to hear your recovery from throat cancer is going well although I'm sorry about the memories and emotions you're currently dealing with as you reach a year since you were diagnosed.
It's completely understandable, and natural, to be feeling emotional about this so do be kind to yourself at this time. I know it must be difficult, but when the not so pleasant memories come to mind, try and remind yourself of just have far you have come.
