Not sure what to do ??

  • Hi Neats,

I am so sorry to hear about your stage 3c ovarian cancer diagnosis and that your wound took so long to heal and is still not properly healed. You've been through a lot recently and it sounds like the chemotherapy treatment has not been easy to bear and it must be so hard not to be able to sleep properly because you fear waking up feeling worse.  It's totally normal to be feeling anxious and as you say not being able to sleep will not help and make you feel worse. I think getting a good night's sleep is something you truly deserve at the moment so I would get in touch with your GP and explain how you have been feeling and how you haven't felt right since starting chemotherapy last Friday, the fact that your temperature and blood pressure have been dropping at times and that you are struggling to sleep properly. There is information on our website on difficulty sleeping and cancer which might be of interest to you but talking to your doctor or medical team about how you have been feeling would be a good idea as they will be able to give you the best advice to help you feel better and get much needed rest and sleep.

Our nurses are available on this free number 0808 800 4040 if you would like to talk things through with them - you can call them Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

I hope that you will hear from other members of our community who have been in a similar place before and that they will pop by and share their own tips and insights with you based on their own personal experiences.

    Best wishes,
