Diagnosed with Polycythaemia Vera

Hi, 

I was diagnosed with Polycythaemia Vera (PV) blood cancer about 6 weeks ago.

Was a bit scary getting the diagnosis, so far I have had weekly taking blood about 400ml and an aspirin every day.

THe doctors haven't yet said what will happen medium/long term other than they may reduce my removal of blood to 2-weekly and then monthly.

Only symptoms I get is red blobs on my legs and hands, also some itching, but that's about it

    I'm sorry to hear you were recently diagnosed with Polycythaemia Vera but I'm glad your symptoms are manageable and your treatment is going o.k so far.
