Classic lymphoma stage 4

After a long battle with chronic diarrhea my husband has been diagnosed with classic hodgkins lymphoma stage 4. He has had one session of chem and is going for his second on Monday. I'm feeling a little lost as he's still losing weight. In total he's lost 6 stone and a stone and a half of that was lost between June to now. Would like to hear how others have coped.

  • Hello Moochew

I'm so sorry to hear about your husband's diagnosis. It's understandable that you're feeling anxious and worried about the weight loss that he's experienced.

We have some informarion about Hodgkin lymphoma as well as information about diet problems with cancer that may be helpful. There's also some tips for putting on weight

Do talk through  your concerns about managing your husna'ds weight with the hospital team. They will also be able to give you both some advice and support and if necessary refer your husband to the dietician.

If you'd like to talk things through with one of our nurses you're welcome to call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any advice, information and support they can.

I hope that next weeks 2nd round of treatment goes smoothly.

Sending you both my best wishes,
