Hello again Thought I would add to this my PSA level was 100+Biopsy was Gleason4+3 in 27/34 cores and bone scan and CT scan no metastases,( I was very luck they told me ) MRI scan T3bN0 and started on Zoladex but did not like the size of the needle so changed it to Prostap much better injection ! so you guys should try it ! my libido went down hill like a rocket but they did pescribe some sildenfell ( viagra substitute ) but had a mental block with taking those so they did not work , tried to explain to my partner of 8 years what I was going throgh but as I could not manage any sexual intercourse with her she left me for another man and it was devastating for me , has anyone else suffered this ? just asking guys
Hello Hobus and welcome to the Cancer Chat community.
I'm sorry to hear about all that you've been through since being diagnosed with prostate cancer and how the side effects of treatment have gone on to have a bigger impact on your life and relationships. It must have been an incredibly difficult time.
It's good to hear that you're coming to the end of your treatment. Hopefully, things will settle down for you now, and your regular check-ups will give you reassurance that the treatment has worked well.
We have a few gents here on the forum who have been through, or are still going through, treatment for prostate cancer and will be able to understand some of the issues you've mentioned regarding your libido. Hopefully they will reply to share their experiences and support soon.
Keep in touch Hobus and let us know how things go for you.
Best wishes,
Jenn
