Had operation for bowel cancer 6 years ago which was successful Been discharged from hospital last year, now I am just frightened in case it comes back, the slight twinge I have in stomach or if I am constipated I worry it’s come back, does anybody else feel like this

  • Hi lindaad,

I'm sure this is a feeling that many on here will be able to relate to - it's something we've seen people write about quite a bit. I can understand it is difficult.

Hopefully you'll get more replies to your post soon from others with similar experience.

Of course if you were to have any concerns or questions, do keep in touch with your doctor at any point.

    Wishing you all the best,

  • Ben is correct in his reply. I had surgery in November 2023 to remove a sarcoma which necessitated removing a kidney, spleen, half the pancreas and half the colon, and I totally agree that the twinges make a sharp intake of breath and the fear of its return. You are not alone, we are with you.
