My husband diagnosed with rectal cancer. Waiting for treatment was a dreadfully stressful time. We felt very much alone. My heart goes out to you. All I can say is keep checking why there is a wait to be seen. It may be they are waiting for test results etc to decide what treatment is best for you. Keep asking why you're waiting if youre not been told. Also as hard as it is, try and keep doing the things you like every day. Ask your GP if there is anything you could take to help sleep. Also free app "Impact Timer" useful as has sleep stories which can help you relax and maybe sleep. Hope you get sorted soon. 

I gad rectal cancer during covid and I was truly surprised how quickly it flowed from surgery to treatment.  It then went to my liver after covid and I thought it took longer to fet treatment. As I was suppose to get ablation then had to get resection as it had grew.  

I think it sometime depends on the area you live in.  But you should keep on top of things.  Have you been assigned a specialist nurse as yet ?

Yes i have a nurse but sorry to say not much help i see oncology next week so hopefully o get some answers then 

Ssdly we didn't find the Macmillan team very helpful. Hope you get some relief from your anxiety following oncology visit.
