Living with AML

I was diagnosed with AML with horrid mutations including TP53. This was last September.  Prognosis was very poor and I had neutropenic sepsis after the first week of treatment.  Doctors and Nurses pulled me through somehow and here I am today. Having Chemo for one week every 6 weeks and still going strong.

  • Hi Claudi and welcome to the Cancer Chat community.

I'm sorry for all that you went through when you were first diagnosed with AML last year but it's wonderful to hear how far you have come since then, and that you're still going strong today.

Hopefully some of our members who also have AML will stop by soon to share their experiences and advice but if you have any further questions about living with acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) or the treatment you're having, you can give our team of cancer nurses a call on 0808 800 4040. Their phone lines are open Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m and they will do all they can to help.

We're sending you all our strength and support Claudi and wishing you all the best with your chemo.

    Kind regards,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
