Osophageal C.

Hi.

My names Paul, im 33 years old, in December 2024 I was diagnosed with Osophageal Cancer. Had my chemo & had the ivor lewis, told my cancer spread into 9 of 31 nodes but have been cut out & now im at high risk risk of it coming back

4 weeks on from surgery ive found myself back in hospital with nausea & dizzy spells

Anyone else experienced this after An Ivor lewis?

  • Hello Paul

I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis and surgery. I'm sure it will have been a challenging time for you, and it's understandable that you may be feeling anxious now that you find yourself back in the hospital.

What have the hospital team said about the symptoms that you're experiencing? Hopefully they will be blae to give you some reassurance and get a handle on your symptoms soon so that you can go back home.

We do have this thread about oesophageal cancer where many members have shared their stories, so you might want to have a look through some of the posts and hopefully you'll be able to connect with others who have experience with the Ivor Lewis surgery.

I hope that things improve for you soon, Paul.

    Best wishes,

Hospital arent saying much, they are now practically defeated and have absolutely no clue as to what is going on
