I'm sorry to hear that you've recently been diagnosed with adenoid cystic carcinoma and that you've been told it's not possible to operate. I can imagine that this was very difficult news to hear. I hope that you have the support of family and friends around you as you try to process this information ahead of starting treatment next week. 

We have a few members here in the Cancer Chat community who have been through head and neck radiotherapy. You can read some of their stories on this thread. I know that many of them will have a different diagnosis but many of the side effects of head and neck radiotherapy are the same and so you may find some helpful tips and advice for coping in their shared experiences. We know that for many people, hearing the news that they have cancer can be really difficult. If it would help to talk with one of our nurses you're most welcome to give them a call.
