  • Wenno, I just came across your post and wanted to offer you my support and reassure you that your post has been seen.

I can't begin to imagine what you must be going through but I'm glad you've reached out to us as so many of our members have been in a similar position, so you are not alone Wenno, and hopefully it won't be long until some of them stop by to share their experiences and advice.

Coping with cancer, and the news that you've been given, is incredibly difficult so if it would help to talk things through with one of our cancer nurses do give them a call on 0808 800 4040. Their phone lines are open Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m and they will do all they can to support you and offer their insight and guidance on anything else you have playing on your mind.

We're here for you Wenno and sending all our support your way.

    Kind regards,

    Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator

  • Hi Wenno, just seen your post, which struck a chord with me..my sister was diagnosed with Myeloma 22 months ago.. I still remember the fear and terror of that day.. she accepted some treatment which included chemo, medication and bone strengthening infusions.. she decided against further treatment which was very invasive.. after the initial impact on her mental health she is now keeping as well and active as her stamina allows

Is there a support group or do you have a designated Nurse you can speak to.

I realize it doesn't change things for you but hopefully make you feel less alone..

  • Hi ladies thanh you both for replying, been for more blood checks today seems nothing got worse and they are holding steady.Heart check on Friday to see if I’m fit enough for harsh treatment, waiting or bone marrow results, see consultant next Wednesday to discuss a treatment plan quality of life is also important so softer approach may be better.Feel a little better things are moving forward. Thanks helps a lot.

  • Be kind to yourself and take care...
