I am not a doctor, but I understand that this can be one of the side-effects of radiotherapy. I am not aware of it happening with breast radiotherapy. It usually happens at the time of treatment and is more likely to happen with head, brain or neck radiotherapy. I don't know about long-term effects, but you might find it useful to talk to one of the nurses here, your own GP or audiologist about a possible link.
