Mum just diagnosed with pancreatic cancer with spread to liver and lymph nodes

Mums now waiting for a biopsy however her symptoms have now deteriorated to being jaundice with ankle oedema. 
she feels nauseous so not able to eat anything substantial and is loosing weight and has muscle weakness. Not steady on her feet. 
pain killers have cause severe constipation and laxatives not relieving symptoms. Unable to get through to the support nurse in the hospital or the McMillan nurses. Just feel like the support is not available.

    Your poor mum - and I am so sorry this is all happening over the weekend and that you are unable to get through to the support nurse in the hospital or the Macmillan nurses. I think you could do with some medical advice though over the weekend so it might be worth ringing 111 and explain the situation especially as the painkillers are causing severe constipation and the laxatives are not helping. Mention all the symptoms and how much she has deteriorated, that she feels nauseous and is not steady on her feet. If you feel she needs urgent attention then you can call 999. 

    I hope that you manage to get through soon to the support nurse in the hospital or the Macmillan nurses and that you manage to speak to someone today so that you can get advice to help her feel more comfortable.
