Query about suspect moles

Last year I was diagnosed with facial skin cancer and underwent surgery to remove it.  Now I’m really self conscious of other moles that may be cancerous.

I live in North London area and wonder if anyone can recommend a reputable dermatologist who does body checks for suspect moles.

i did go to a company based in West End shortly after my facial surgery who marked 3 moles on my body as suspect but after hospital visit I was told they were just ordinary moles so I’m not confident that they are competent enough to diagnose skin mole as well as hospital dermatologist.

  • Hi AngeB, I am not in your area, but I have recently paid for full body mole check.  I looked on the internet for my nearest private hospital and they give details of the dermatologists that work at their hospital.  The one that I chose also works in my nearest NHS hospital, so I thought that he would be well qualified to know what he was looking at.  I would certainly recommend going to a hospital based one.

    Hope that someone else in your particular area comes along with a recommendation.

    I don't live in your area but I do have knowledge of the best place to try. We aren't allowed to mention hospitals/clinics etc on the forum but I will send you a friend request. If you accept it, I can send you a private message with a suggestion of a dermatologist to try.
