I've just been diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer and am having a lumpectomy next week. Anyone have any ideas for suitable clothes to wear post surgery?
I am sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I have had a lumpectomy and a double mastectomy. I found that I could wear the same clothes that I've always worn after the lumpectomy and only really needed to adapt my clothing after the mastectomies. I did find it handy to have day and night wear that opened at the front to start with. This saved lifting my arms up to get changed and was handy when doctors and nurses wanted to examine the wound. You will possibly be advised to wear a soft, but supportive, non-wired bra day and night to start with.
