My Mum has a lump!

Hey everyone,

Im going a bit crazy here, my Mum who is 65 found a hard none mobile lump in her breast and lumps under her armpit. My Nan her mother died of breast cancer at 63 years old.

her appointment at the breast clinic is on Sunday I’m unfortunately on a hen weekend my brother is getting married I don’t want to go I want to be with my Mum just in case I’m so lost on what to do. My Mum is adamant I go on this hen weekend but I know I’ll be worried.

It may be nothing to worry about at all and I’m sending myself stir crazy ♀️

should I just go with my mum and go against her wanting me to go on this hen weekend or do as I’m told (I’m 47) still a mummy’s girl.

Love

  • Hi Rebecca,

I am so sorry to hear this. Waiting for biopsy results is always a worrying time, but try to stay away from consulting "Dr Google". Much of the information is poorly researched, out of date and aimed at the more sensational cases. This won't give you or your mum any answers, but will only serve to scare you both further. I know what a shock this is, but it gets easier once you know exactly what she is dealing with.

She has a tough fight, but she'll get through it.

Please let us know how her results go.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
