Hello,
My 92 year old grandfather has been diagnosed with lung cancer, this was last year after a routine review. He had oesophagus and stomach cancer in his 80s and beat it. He has had radio but is vague to everyone with the results "they are happy with me", theres no further treatment available, or if he was offered it he hasnt told us. He was reluctant to do radio, he was admitted to hospital last week with double pneumonia bacterial and viral, CT has come back showing glass lung. He's on full oxygen and antibiotics, he's now refusing food and only sips of water. The doctors keep telling us that they are monitoring but nothing is changing, I expect that he won't last much longer but no one will confirm that. He's just sleeping more and more, and still on full oxygen, the doctors are having to use a tube to suction the phlegm. Why is it that there are no answers... sorry if this is not the right place to post this...feeling helpless
