Picketywitch - new to the forum and seeking advice on travel insurance

Hello there, I am new to the forum and I would like advice on Travel Insurance please.

My husband had a bladder cancer tumour removed and has completed his radio therapy treatment.  We hope to go to Corfu in September but I am not having much luck with finding travel insurance.  My travel insurance with my Nationwide account will not cover my husband as he has other medical conditions too.  I have had one quote of over £3000 and several just shy of £2000.  Can anyone please recommend a reliable reasonably priced Company or Companies that I can try.

Many thanks

  • Hi Flowglow. The medical compare sites will show a reasonable price in the beginning but for us when we put all my dad's existing conditions in - including treatment for an older diagnosed cancer and a more recent lung cancer, it shot it up to £3400!!! Insurance with are excellent as it's tailored to you and World first is another.  If you struggle with these look at Macmillan as they have a list including brokers.  Good luck and hoping for a speedy recovery for your hubby ️

  • Thank you for your reply.   Like your father, my husband has other existing conditions and is elderly.  The irony is that many of his existing medical problems are only mild but of course they do not take this into consideration.  He played golf 3 times a week and was really fit.

I will certainly try these companies when his energy levels have improved after the radiation therapy.   Thank you also for your good wishes.

    Kind regards

  • My dad is soon to be 83  ️️
