Newby - waiting for more TULA treatment on my bladder. Have a cruise booked for August. Hoping it will be clear so I can go

Hello Everyone

My forum name is GreenArcher and I’m hoping to get some useful feedback on Cancer .I was diagnosed with stage 3 Superficial Bladder Cancer on April 2019 .I had 6 Doses of Chemotherapy followed by 20 sessions of Radiotherapy, I was given the all Clear in February 24 but following a flexible Cystoscopy in Developed 2024 I was told That I had a small recurrence in my Bladder . This was removed by TULA LASER TREATMENT IN January this year . I had another cystoscopy in February 2025 and I was clear but I’m now waiting for another TuLa next week and hoping that will be clear . The Radiotherapy has caused a lot of damage to my bladder .I have booked a cruise in August this year and I am worried if I will still be OK to go

  • Hi GreenArcher and welcome to the Cancer Chat community.

I'm sorry to hear about everything you have been through since being diagnosed with bladder cancer in 2019, but fingers crossed your second round of Tula Laser treatment will give you another clear result and you can go on that well deserved cruise.

Hopefully you will hear back from some of our bladder cancer members soon, but we also have a team of cancer nurses you can talk things through with on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m. They're very insightful and will do all they can to address your concerns and support you whilst you wait.

We're thinking of you GreenArcher and wishing you all the best for next week.

    Kind regards,
