Introducing me

Hi. I’m Fantine and feeling rather shell shocked at the moment. I am undergoing tests for bowel cancer but haven’t had a definite diagnosis one way or the other yet. Just trying to take each day as it comes. I would like to send my very best wishes to everyone who is having treatment or recovering from cancer.

  • Hi Fantine,

A very warm welcome to our forum. Waiting for a diagnosis is always a daunting process, so it's no wonder that you are feeling shell shocked. I hope that you get your results soon.

Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

  • Hi Jolamine,

    Kind regards

  • Hi Fantine, unfortunately getting a diagnosis can be a long journey,  depending upon many factors.  I first presented in Nov 2023 with concerns about change in bowel habits.. I have been seen by the Colorectal consultant,  had a colonoscopy and biopsies,  after it was decided further investigation was needed..I had a CT scan last week and await an update.... long waiting times, lack of specialist doctors and nurses has meant weeks [ months] in between each appointment..

Taking each day as it comes is a great outlook..

I wish you well,  take care of yourself..
