Investigations for Ovarian cancer

Hi, I’m new to the forum. I have had chronic nausea for 8+years, despite multiple investigations, scans, hospital stays, and copious amounts of anti-sickness available, I have yet to have a definitive diagnosis. I know my body. I have done everything possible to try and get well to no avail.

I have just recently seen a Gyn specialist ( through my own determination for answers) and she advised a CA125 blood test, which I had done on Thursday. I am having a full body CT and head CT due to blinding headaches for past 3months. this Thursday.
I am worried sick. Frustrated, and scared that it’s Ovarian cancer after all this time. I’m mentally and physically exhausted with it all. Has anyone else had chronic nausea before being diagnosed? I have been told it’s constipation, IBS, a bladder issue, a bowel issue, basically dismissed at EVERY level. I’m not looking for a diagnosis, but a wee bit of comfort or reassurance from anyone who’s had similar. Thank you for reading this far. I truly appreciate it.

  • Hello Wee_Sassy_Scot71,

It's important to be kind to yourself while you wait for your results and continue to speak to your doctor about your concerns and questions. When you’re worried that you may have cancer, it can be tempting to think the worst, but this can end up increasing anxiety rather than making you feel better. We have guidance around coping with waiting for news, which could be useful to you.

I hope your appointments go ok and keep us updated,
