hello, just wanted to introduce myself. you can call me eight and use he/him pronouns for me where relevant. i type in lowercase for the most part due to non-cancer related disabilities making it hard to keep capitalising everything, please don't think i'm being rude or something!

i have an appointment with a dermatologist soon to be assessed for possible melanoma. im not scared of the c word as such, more scared of the fact this is one aspect of healthcare that i haven't researched! i have multiple disabilities so i'm thoroughly aware of all their inner workings, but haven't suspected cancer (on top of what i've already been dealing with) until recently. bit nervous about what to expect from this first appointment. i had photos taken a couple weeks ago and it came back as suspected malignant melanoma. would love to hear from the community on what i can expect from my first dermatology appointment.
