GIST - has anyone else had this?

Hello, I am an octogenarian and I  have an 8cm lesion in my abdomen. Investigations so far cannot quite determine what it is, but an MDT consensus is that it is a gastro intestinal stromal tumour.. It seems to be anterior to the spleen.

It is asymptomatic, but is an incidental discovery through colon investigations. I wonder if anyone else has this rare type of tumour?
