I’m 68and well past menopause. On Sunday I suddenly started bleeding, no pain. No cramps. Really scary. Been spotting last few days and now suddenly, bright red blood. Managed to get GP appt and am on two week referral….. terrified.
It must have been a bit frightening to see this sudden bleeding and you did well to go and see your GP after you noticed it. It's normal to be scared after being given a 2 week-referral but it is important to bear in mind that most people who do have an urgent referral will not be diagnosed with cancer but it is important to check these things thoroughly so it's a good thing that you will be seen very soon.
