Confident, strong, and so positive! I want that back, but I’m so tired l the time! Does anyone have any advice, thank you for taking the time to read my post

  • Hi Lindz44,

I wanted to send a reply to your post to give it a little boost, so a few more people should see it and hopefully you'll get some more replies, particularly from anyone who may have similar experience.

It's great that you have discovered a different and positive side to yourself, although I'm sorry to hear about the continued difficulties and I hope you're able to get some support or reassurance for this.

There is some information on this page about extreme tiredness, some of which may be helpful.

You are also welcome to speak to our nurses if you'd like to get their thoughts. You can do this either by posting in the 'Ask the Nurses' section of this forum, or by calling freephone 0808 800 4040 - Monday-Friday, 9-5.

    Wishing you all the best,

  • Thank you so very much for replying

  • Hi Lindsay, you sound similar to me.. I was diagnosed in September 2022 with stage 3 breast cancer. I received chemo, radiotherapy, mastectomy and immunotherapy. I am still suffering with lymphoedema, chronic fatigue and low mood.

Like you I'm surprised how long this is taking.. I think they don't tell you incase you don't take the treatment! I was told at my last appointment because of the amount of treatment I received I'm in early stage recovery! I was quite shocked by that. Like you I try to be positive as much as I can but life's not been easy.. the only thing I can offer as advice is be kind to yourself and take each day as it comes..we are amazing to have survived
