Kidney cancer

Hi my cancer was found unexpectedly in December last year following scans due to abnormal bloods. My kidney was removed mid February and I am now being referred to an oncologist with the likelihood of having immunotherapy. This will be after my next CT scan in early April.
I am trying to be strong for everyone but I’m really scared. I’m 64 and don’t feel like I’ve got a great deal of time left. I already feel tired and not my usual self.
has anyone else been where I am ?
Thanks Worthy

  • Little bit like myself I’m 64 kidney removed  in 2022, I’d say only a month since your operation you’re going to feel tired and not your normal self you’ve been through so much physically and mentally,  it is going to tire you out.. give yourself a chance to get back to “Normal” waiting for your first scan can be terrifying hoping for the best but preparing for the worst. You are here today try to live for today save tomorrow’s worries for tomorrow. If I’m at home or should I say NOT at the hospital I class that as a free day as while I don’t know anything other than what I know today then that’s a free day and I have to enjoy it,
