Day of biopsy another lump found behind the nipple

I went in for biopsy and they found another lump behind the nipple. They decided to take samples of that too as well as the lump i found 24mm on the same breast. Feeling anxious.

The waiting is sooo hard! I'm reaching out to see if anybody had been told it was Pseudoangiomatous stromal hyperplasia (PASH) and turned out not to be?  Just want to get some idea as first thry thought it was fiberadenoma and it turned out it wasn't so sent for further test. And now they are thinking its PASH but can't confirm untill biopsy is back.

Any help or advice will be appreciated

  • Hello MIUA

I'm sorry to hear that you've recently had some concerns about your breast health and that the biopsy earlier this week showed another lump. It's understandable that you're feeling anxious.

It's good to hear that the team are still thinking that these areas may not be cancerous. There's some information on the Breast Cancer Now website about PASH that may be helpful.

We know that for many people this period of waiting for biopsy results can be difficult and it's understandable that you may be feeling anxious. If it would help to talk things through with one of our nurses you're welcome to call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. I know they will be happy to listen and offer any advice, information and support they can.

Hopefully you will have some news soon MIUA. Do let us know how you get on.

    Best wishes,
