Oversize stoma

My name is Alan, I had colorectal surgery in Feb 2019 and now have stoma and hernia to match. I have been using a Coloplast concave bag up to now,which I have been happy with, however, the max opening is 60 mm which is no longer suitable for my stoma size, I would welcome others experience or thoughts.

  • Welcome to the forum Alan although I'm sorry to hear the Coloplast concave bag you've been using is no longer suitable for the size of your stoma.

    Hopefully some of our members who have been in a similar situation will share their thoughts and experiences with you soon but if you'd like to discuss this with one of our cancer nurses, they're available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m. They're very easy to talk to and will do all they can to help.

    If you haven't done so already, do have a chat with your stoma care specialist nurse about this as well as they can go through all your options with you and help you figure out which one will be best for you.
