A very warm welcome to our friendly forum where I hope you will find others who have also been diagnosed or affected by pancreatic cancer. It must have been a real shock to you and it all happened only a few weeks ago so it's hard for it to sink in really. I am sorry that informing your sister was not an easy thing to do and that your sister does not want you to inform your mother due to her health and frailty. It's difficult to know what is best to do really - ultimately it is your decision who you choose to tell but I can understand there are all sorts of factors to take into account and the effect the news would have on your elderly mother. 

As you said beautifully, on this forum you are all in this together and you are not alone. Have you found out yet what your treatment options might be? I also wanted to make you aware of other members of our community who have been recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer as for example Peter208 who posted this pancreatic cancer thread and I also remember welcoming Sempa on this thread after they were diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Just a couple of days ago I-am-groot also posted this thread about a family member being diagnosed and going through treatment at the moment - feel free also to drop them a line if you wish. These are just a few  examples amongst many but don't hesitate to respond if you would like to talk to others who have had the same diagnosis recently.
