My name is she

Hi would just like to share my journey so far. I was diagnosed with lung cancer in October 2024 . It was discovered by accident. Having a CT scan for something else. I had a PET scan that showed I hade a tumour in both my lungs and it was in my lymph nodes in my left lung . Devastated to say the least . Went to see my MDT team who I trusted one hundred percent . And told them I would go with whatever plan they came up with . As they know what would be best for me . I had a ct guided biopsy. An EBus . Combined chemotherapy and immunotherapy. List all my hair put loads of weight on had every side effect going list my taste it is true what they say every treatment gets worse . But with the help of my amazing team I got through it . Then 6 weeks later I went into hospital to have surgery to remove half my left lung and the lymph nodes. Open surgery was in for a week . I was up within 2 days of surgery. Tests later showed the cancer had been removed yeah . Then under 2 months later I had SABRE radiotherapy again at hospital 5 treatments on my tumour on the right hand side . Both my tumours were stage 1 my lymph nodes were stage 3 . To say it was tough was an understatement but the birth of my beautiful grandchild half way through I think made me more determined to fight . As of now there is no visible sign if cancer but I will never be given the all clear. Think it is because it was in my lymph nodes and could present somewhere else in the future. This is very long winded but I just want to say there is hope and never give up . Trust your support team and use them often . Obviously my life will never be the same as it was . Insides mashed . But I am here all thanks to my amazing team morale of My story .i was given hope and I am here sadly I have lost some amazing people to this awful disease .
