Thanks Jolamine, you're so kind. Not sure dad will manage on his own, he is quite frail and mum did everything. Will have to look at the options, once the funeral is over. Dad suffers with anxiety, so he will be stressed whatever happens, which is fo sad. How are uou keeping?
Hi Pippin,
I have been having long-term issues with my lumbar spine, which have been making it very difficult for me to walk or stand. I finally had an MRI early in April and got the results today - Considerable degeneration in spinal column with narrow and mis-shaped openings for the nerves coming out from the spinal column. No way to treat this other than by operation, but no guarantee that an operation would help, as there are too many discs and nerves involved. My discs are now rubbing on one another as there is no cushioning left between them. The specialist Spinal physio offered to send me to the pain clinic. I don't think that I could face any more medication and I already use Morphine patches and I have already tried all the clinics that she mentioned. However, she said that the door is always open in respect of a referral. Still, I am relieved that there is no tumour present, which was what I was beginning to suspect.
It has been a trying time with my hubby, who has had more Squamous cell carcinoma removed. HIs Dementia is progressing faster than we would want and he is falling a lot, He is also sleeping a lot and getting very confused at night.
I hope that you can manage to find a suitable option for your Dad, once the funeral is over. It's just one problem after another, isn't it?
Kind regards,
Jolamine xx
Hi Jolamine, so sorry to hear that you are in so much pain. It must be difficult to decide whether to have an operation, especially if they can't guarantee the results. I'm sure that would also be difficult, with your husband suffering from dementia. It must be hard for you with your husband falling a lot, especially when you are in pain yourself.
It has been a difficult week for me, as my daughter is now in hospital. She is 20 weeks pregnant and some of her waters started leaking yesterday. It is such a worrying time. Xx
Hi Pippin,
I hope that your daughter has been better since she was admitted to hospital and that everything has settled down for her - if it's not one thing it's another! You could certainly do without this additional stress and worry at the moment.
Hoping and praying that all turns out well.
Jolamine xx
Thank you so much. Xx
