My husband has been diagnosed last week with mesothelioma and we’re now waiting for the first oncologist appointment.

It’s quite rare I think with 2,700 cases a year.  We’re wondering if he might be able to have Immunotherapy as a treatment. We think he’s in the early stages but we haven’t had anproper discussion yet as the surgical team didn’t want to prreempt  the oncologist.

Also there is a lot in the paperwork about claiming for exposure to Asbestos but we have no idea how or where this could have happened as he worked all his life in hospitals and was office based. We don’t think we’re worse off because of this diagnosis but it is likely to be life limiting so that changes everything . 
Do we need to contact specialist solicitors ? Any previous experience? Thank you .
