Blood cancer

Hi, ive had blood cancer for a long time now, i try not to think about it to much but its always there at the back of my mind, its like a constant worry, i had hodgkins lymphoma which was in remission for 4.5 years  but then i was told i have low grade non hodgkins lymphoma i still have check ups every 4 months which will go on for the rest of my life, i find i over think normally at night so cant sleep properly, i guess lots of people feel like this. Anyway thanks for being here..

  • Hello Kikijules and welcome to Cancer Chat,

Thank you for posting. It's natural to have this worry given all that you've been through. Do keep trying to focus on other things, as your regular check-ups will help your doctor keep an eye on things. On sleeping, a regular winding-down routine and exercise can help with regular sleep. We also have some advice around difficulty sleeping and cancer, which you can refer to at any time.

This forum is also here for you whenever you need it and if there's anything that you wish to discuss about your recent diagnosis, you can on the freephone 0808 800 4040. Lines are open from 9 to 5 Monday to Friday.

    Best wishes to you,
