Three years Post neuro-Surgery

Hello,

I'm happy to report I'm three years post surgery for a large but thankfully low grade brain tumour to the rear of my head, which was successfully(98%) resections via craniotomy. Recovery went well as could be expected with minimal discomfort for me but a few issues for my nearest and dearest due to my medications causing some strange behavior. Over recent months I'e begun to notice issues with things such as memory, balance, dexterity, visual disturbance and fatigue. Sleep seems to be quite an irregular thing too. I'm considering a visit to the docs to discuss my issues which may or may not be my "new normals", but i do feel things are beginning to slide a little more than I'm comfortable with.

It’s great to hear that you’re three years post-surgery and that the craniotomy was so successful. It sounds like you’ve faced your recovery with real strength and determination, even with the challenges along the way.
It’s understandable that these new symptoms are causing concern, especially as you’ve worked so hard to recover. Speaking with your doctor sounds like a really good idea. They will be able to help you figure out whether these changes are part of your “new normal” or if there is something else that can be addressed to make things easier for you.
This is such a supportive community, and I’m sure others here will relate to your experiences and share advice or encouragement. Please do keep us updated when you can.
    Wishing you all the best,
