My son has had CT scans and a biopsy recently and been told that he has lymphoma. We are awaiting biopsy results. I am so scared for him. Any advice on what to ask about or do for him would be welcomed. He is quite unwell right now.

Hello Ajajens and a very warm welcome to our forum,
Such a scary time it must be for you and your son as you are waiting for biopsy results for suspected lymphoma. Hopefully it won't be too long before you hear back and get some clarity. There's nothing harder than not knowing exactly what is going on or what type of lymphoma you are dealing with as it is quite a complex field so hopefully you will soon find out more about the lymphoma type and crucially the treatment plan. It can be hard to know as a result what to ask when you still don't have all the facts but if a question springs to your mind ahead of your appointment, make sure you write it down and make a list of things to ask so that you don't forget on the day.
Our cancer nurses are also available on this free number 0808 800 4040 if you wanted their advice on anything - feel free to call them Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm (except Christmas day and Boxing Day/ bank holidays when the helpline is closed).
I am so sorry to hear he is quite unwell right now and I hope that you will hear from other members of our community who have been through this process before of being diagnosed with lymphoma. Your support at the moment will be precious but it must be so hard for you both at the moment to have to wait to get a diagnosis and I thought I would share with you these helpful tips to help you cope while waiting for these important biopsy results.
Best wishes,
