Hi, I’ve just completed chemo for breast cancer and am a bit lost. I assumed (wrongly) that I would at least speak to a doctor who would tell me if the cancer has gone but there was nothing.
I finished chemo and radiotherapy for a different cancer to you on the 6th November. I won't find out if its gone for a least 3 months potentially 6. I'm not a doctor and I'm assuming from your post that you completed your treatment very recently so maybe with breast cancer it's the same and a bit of time has to pass before they can tell you if it was successful if that makes sense. Hopefully someone who has been through breast cancer will reply to you. If I were you I would ring the hospital and ask as it's something I feel you should have been told if you had to wait.
