Hi my name is Gaynor I'm 65 years old and about 6 weeks ago was diagnosed with bladder cancer. On 18th Nov I had 2 tumours removed also had some chemotherapy. 4 weeks in I've started to bleed heavy everytime I to the toilet. GP has sent a sample to the lab to check for infection but now I can't wee just blood. Has anyone experienced this please pain isn't good thank you.

    I'm sorry about the bleeding and how unpleasant it is for you. Bleeding can be a side effect of chemotherapy and we have advice around chemotherapy for bladder cancer on our website.      I hope results from the lab come soon for you and you can discuss with your GP how this can be reduced.
