I understand completely - having heard that a wle was clear, i was told on Thursday that my scan showed I am already stage 4 with tumours in 3 organs and 6 months prognosis without treatment. Another appointment tomorrowto discuss. I am still a bit in disbelief.
I'm so very sorry you have just received this distressing news. Melanoma is a sneaky cancer and can spread without us knowing (I originally was Stage 1b in 1996 and 13 years later it returned, having taken it's time to spread to my lymph nodes).
Since then, treatment for melanoma has progressed with very promising results, so your clinical team seem to be moving quickly to get you onto a treatment plan which will have a good chance of working.
