Welcome to the Cancer Chat community Martin, although I'm very sorry to hear about your father in law.
If you or anyone else in your family has your father in law's permission, you should be able to speak with his medical team and/or GP to find out what's going on but in the meantime, I hope this information we have about what help may be available at home to you and your family will be useful.
If you'd like to discuss your father in law's situation further with one of our cancer nurses, they're available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m. They're very insightful and will do all they can to answer your questions and help you and your family at this very difficult time.
If you haven't done so already, it may be worth getting in touch with Marie Curie as they provide practical and emotional support to anyone living with, or caring for someone with, a terminal illness.
We're thinking of you Martin and are sending all our strength and support to you and your family.
Kind regards,
Steph, Cancer Chat Moderator
